oil on wood, 8x10 inches, 2025
I made this painting to represent the moment, January 2025. It's a time when women are grieving the state of the world, but we have no choice but to persist. It feels as though our grief mocks us in the face of growing restrictions and fear for the planet and communities. This work was an opportunity to play with light and color, the emotion each can evoke when employed intentionally. This is a pledge to hold emotion, fight, and survive.
